Female-hatred murder case at Gangnam station

Kim Seong-min (34 years old) stabbed and murdered a woman arbitrarily in a toilet at Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul on the night of May 17th, 2016. The Supreme Court of South Korea confirmed his 30-year sentence, which was made by the original judgment on the contemplation. An Internet user suggested a memorial movement, and people started posting notes pointing out female-hatred problems and saying “Misogyny is a social problem” and “Remaining women will make a better world” at the 10th entrance of Gangnam station, which is close to the murder scene. At the time, there was a social debate on whether the incident should be defined/interpreted as misogyny or not, and 3-4 groups were formed near Gangnam Station Exit no. 10 arguing between female and male.
